What is the ruling on a man loving a woman whom he considers like his mother and whose embrace he loves, especially since he lost his mother some time ago and is in need of a mother's tenderness?

The best love is that which is for the sake of Allah, and its sign is that it increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience. Islamic law warned against excessive love for individuals, as it may open the doors for Satan and lead to blameworthy attachment. The Hadith states: "Love your beloved moderately, for he may become your enemy one day." It emphasized the importance of choosing a righteous companion due to their influence on a person, and prohibited saying: "You always love to be near her, and you love her embrace very much," because it is a sign of blameworthy attachment, which is the path to forbidden عشق (passionate love), and warned against idleness that leads to attachment to such matters.
