The answer

Grey hair will be a light for the Muslim on the Day of Judgment, as authentic prophetic hadiths attest to this. Among them is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "Whoever develops a grey hair in Islam, it will be a light for him on the Day of Judgment," and "Grey hair is the believer's light," and "Do not pluck out grey hairs, for they are a light on the Day of Judgment." These hadiths indicate the dislike of plucking out grey hair from the head or beard, due to the generality of these hadiths, which do not specify one type of hair over another. Some jurists are of the opinion that it may even reach the level of prohibition due to the explicit prohibition.
