The answer

The basic principle regarding the consumption of beverages is permissibility until something is proven that necessitates prohibition, such as the presence of an impurity that has not undergone chemical transformation, or intoxicating substances, or clear harm to health. This must be proven through reliable laboratories. Whoever has doubt about a product and avoids it is doing good, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt." Obedience to parents is obligatory in doubtful matters as long as the cause for prohibition has not been proven, because obedience to them takes precedence over abandoning a doubtful matter.
