The answer

Cleanliness holds a high status in Islam, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, made purification half of faith. One aspect of purification is ritual bathing (ghusl), as every Muslim must perform ghusl every seven days. It is sunnah (recommended) to use perfume and the miswak (tooth-stick) with it. Ghusl is obligatory upon the meeting of the two circumcised parts. It is also recommended to use kohl (ithmid). Among the sunan al-fitra (practices of natural disposition) that contribute to cleanliness are removing hair from the pubic area and armpits, trimming nails, and shortening the mustache. For women, it is recommended to use a piece of musk after menstruation to remove any unpleasant odor.
