What is the ruling on a young man touching a young woman's body over her clothes, and is the young man considered her husband if they pledge that before God, and what is the permissible way that can bring them together now?
What is happening between you two is forbidden by Islamic law. It is not permissible for men to look at women, nor for women to look at men, if there is a fear of temptation. Neither is it permissible for you two to be in seclusion together, nor for one of you to touch the other, nor for a woman to expose her body in front of non-mahram men. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do. And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests..." [An-Nur: 30-31], and based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "No man should be in seclusion with a woman, for indeed Satan is the third one among them," and his saying: "The eye commits fornication, and its fornication is looking; the ear commits fornication, and its fornication is listening; and the hand commits fornication, and its fornication is grasping," and in another narration: "and the hand commits fornication, and its fornication is touching."
