What is the reward and wisdom behind losing a large sum of money that fell in a mini-bus?

The reward for tribulations, such as losing money through theft or falling, is immense if one bears them with patience. This is based on Allah's saying: "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, who, when disaster strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided." [Quran, 2:155-157]. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were a thorn that pricks him, but Allah will expiate some of his sins because of it." He also said: "Wondrous is the affair of the believer, for there is good for him in every matter, and this is not the case for anyone except the believer. If he is afflicted with ease, he is grateful, and that is good for him. And if he is afflicted with hardship, he is patient, and that is good for him."
