The fear of living in apartments where such deaths occurred is a fear stemming from false and unlawful delusions, and it may even reach the level of polytheism (shirk) with Allah. A believer must free himself from the fear of jinn and devils, and know that Allah alone possesses the power to harm and benefit. As for the qarin (companion jinn), it is a devil that accompanies every human being and seeks to mislead him, and it must be struggled against by seeking Allah's help.
