Does speaking with one's husband about the daily memorization amount of the Qur’an fall under the category of showing off (riyaa') and fearing a lack of sincerity to Allah Almighty?

Sincerity is a great blessing, and its place is in the heart. A servant must strive to attain it and beware of ostentation, which nullifies good deeds. If sincerity becomes firmly established in the heart, then speaking about memorizing the Quran with others does no harm. It is advisable to continue memorizing the Quran until its completion, for abandoning a good deed out of fear of people is ostentation, and performing it for the sake of people is polytheism. Sincerity is that Allah protects you from both. And you should recite the well-known supplication to ward off ostentation: "O Allah, we seek refuge in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and we seek Your forgiveness for what we do not know."
