Does a person change according to the changes of time and life, or is it the person who changes life, era, identity, and truth in pursuit of worldly desires? And what is the rank of identity and its importance in the life of a Muslim? And does forgetting one's identity and origin lead to forgetting and denying the religion?

The rectification and corruption of the universe are linked to the uprightness of people; their piety brings them might, victory, and blessings, while their deviation brings tribulations. As for Islamic identity, it is belonging to Allah, His Messenger, the religion of Islam, and the creed of Tawhid (monotheism). It is the Muslim's methodology, through which they follow the ways of the prophets and the righteous, and ask Allah for guidance and steadfastness upon it. It holds great importance in a Muslim's life. However, if identity is merely intended to mean affiliation with a country or people and their customs, then it has no relation to religion. It is not permissible to deny one's original lineage or claim another, and it is permissible to move from what is lesser to what is better.
