Is it true that God does not accept the repentance of one who intends to commit a sin, saying that God is Forgiving and Merciful, then commits it, repents, and then repeatedly returns to it mockingly? And does God accept the repentance of one who laughs at a joke that ridicules religion, then says, "I will return to Islam and repent"? And does blasphemy occur by insulting the Prophet (peace be upon him)?

The questioner is advised to disregard obsessions and occupy oneself with learning and inviting others to Allah, knowing that Allah accepts repentance from His servants even if the sin is repeated. This is supported by Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions that emphasize the vastness of Allah's mercy and His acceptance of repeated repentance from sinners, such as His saying, "Do they not know that Allah is He who accepts repentance from His servants?" [Quran 9:104]. And the Hadith: "A servant committed a sin... 'Do as you wish, for I have forgiven you.'" And the statement of Al-Hasan al-Basri: "I do not see this except as a characteristic of believers."

It was emphasized that persistence in sin is a serious matter and an indication of insincere remorse, supported by His saying, "and did not persist in what they had done while they knew" [Quran 3:135]. And Ibn Hajar's statement that seeking forgiveness with the tongue while persisting in sin is "like playing games."
