Why is marriage in this era considered unsuitable for women, placing them in a position of weakness, unlike men whose lives do not fundamentally change, assuming the current selfishness of most men, and that celibacy is better for Muslim women?

The rulings of Islamic law originate from Allah, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise, and a Muslim must submit to them. No one has the right to amend Allah's judgment. The statement that marriage in this era is not in a woman's best interest is incorrect, both Islamically and realistically; marriage is a divine legislation, and it entails many overriding benefits. Good treatment of in-laws is Islamically required, but if that is not possible, a woman may stay in her home, and she has the right to a separate dwelling. A wife's obedience to her husband is restricted by specific guidelines, and a husband's guardianship is a responsibility to manage the family, not an imposition of dominance. Islamic texts warn against husbands oppressing their wives, and an oppressed woman has the right to refer her case to the judiciary. Some scholars may even permit a wife to abandon her oppressive husband.
