Is combating the Coronavirus pandemic considered Jihad in the path of Allah for specialists? Is one who withdraws from confronting the pandemic out of fear sinful? And is their withdrawal comparable to fleeing on the day of battle?

Participation in the treatment of this disease is a good deed, and its doer will be rewarded. It is hoped that he will attain a share of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever relieves a believer of a worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of a distress on the Day of Resurrection... And Allah is in the aid of His servant as long as the servant is in the aid of his brother." However, this does not reach the status of Jihad in the way of Allah, because Jihad in Islamic law specifically refers to fighting disbelievers.
