What is the legitimate legal basis for the position of women between customs and traditions that undermine their rights and the religion that has treated them justly, and what is the ruling on those who prevent them from inheriting as in some customs, and is the man’s superiority merely in his being male, or are there other qualifications that entitle him to be a guardian over women?

Customs that infringe upon women's rights and prevent justice between them and men are contrary to Islamic law. Allah has commanded justice for all, especially in fulfilling the rights of women as sisters, wives, and mothers. Men have a share and women have a share of what parents and close relatives leave behind. The reason for the revelation of the verse is that women were not inherited from in the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah). And for wives is what is due to them, in a reasonable manner. The man's guardianship over the woman is due to two reasons: Allah's favoring some over others (men over women) and because they spend of their wealth (dowry, maintenance, blood money).
