What is the legal ruling on computer games based on playing cards for developing intelligence through calculations, such as Solitaire and FreeCell?

The ruling on games in general, and on playing cards (Koutchina) in particular, is provided in Fatwa No. 30937. What was stated regarding playing with them in the traditional manner applies to playing with them via computer, in addition to other guidelines that can be reviewed in Fatwa No. 59977.
