The answer

Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) is a modern technique that uses devices to freeze subcutaneous fat cells, leading to their death and gradual elimination by the body. It is permissible to use this method under certain conditions: that it is not highly probable to cause harm, and that it is performed by a woman on another woman, or by a husband on his wife if the purpose is cosmetic improvement. If the fat is in the 'awrah (private parts), then a genuine medical need is required, not merely cosmetic enhancement, and the doctor must not be a man unless there is an extreme necessity, based on the hadith: "A man should not look at the 'awrah of another man, and a woman should not look at the 'awrah of another woman" (reported by Muslim). What is necessitated by the need for medical treatment is exempted from this prohibition.
