What are the authentic supplications (du'as) to be recited during calamities and tribulations, such as wars and the aggression of disbelievers against Muslim lands?
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, frequently sought refuge with Allah from tribulations, due to their impact on everyone. There are also many noble Prophetic supplications and remembrances related to tribulations and distress. Among them is what is recited when fearing a people: "O Allah, we place You before them [to avert their evil], and we seek refuge in You from their evils." And among them is what is recited during distress: "There is no god but Allah, the Almighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the Noble Throne." And among them is the supplication of Dhul-Nun: "There is no god but You; exalted are You. Indeed, I was of the wrongdoers." And among them are the supplications of the distressed: "O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not abandon me to my soul even for the blink of an eye, and set right all my affairs for me. There is no god but You." And other such supplications that have a great positive effect during times of tribulation and fear.
