The question

What is the recompense for one who mocks the phrase "God, Jesus" believing him to be a god other than Allah, and how should he repent? And how can a Muslim love Allah and His Messenger and repent from all sins?

The answer

"Yeshua" means Isa (Jesus), and it is not permissible for a Muslim to ridicule his name, or the names of any of the prophets, or the name of Allah the Almighty, based on the saying of Allah the Almighty: (And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and jesting." Say, "Is it with Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief). The fact that Christians intend for "Yeshua" to be God stems from their deviation in the doctrine of the Trinity, and Allah has declared them disbelievers for that in His saying: (They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary) and (They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is the third of three). A Muslim must repent to Allah, guard his tongue, and stay away from studying Christian books.
