It is better for a Muslim to avoid moistening the pages of the Mushaf with saliva, to avoid a difference of opinion. As for turning pages that contain the remembrance of Allah with saliva, it is not forbidden as long as it does not touch a place where the name of Allah is present. There is no need to remove any of that, and it is advised to avoid delving deeply into such matters to prevent obsessive whispering (Waswasah).
