Is repentance motivated by the fear of scandal accepted, even though it is purely for the sake of Allah the Almighty?

The questioner mentioned that her repentance is sincerely for the sake of Allah, and this does not contradict reminding oneself of Allah's favor upon her whenever her resolve weakens, so as to combine the sincerity of repentance with gratitude to Allah for the blessing of concealment. As for someone who repents out of fear of exposure without mentioning the Hereafter, they might relapse from their repentance if concealment is not achieved for them. It is necessary to renew the intention and resolve to be sincere in repentance and steadfastness regardless of whether concealment is attained, and to strive in performing good deeds that transform evil deeds into good ones, in fulfillment of His (Exalted be He) saying: "Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." [Al-Furqan: 70], and His saying: "And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of night. Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember." [Hud: 114], and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Follow up an evil deed with a good one, it will wipe it out."
