Eating crocodiles, whether small or large, is forbidden, because it is a predatory animal that hunts with its fangs, and because it is an amphibian that lives in both land and sea, not purely aquatic, thus differing from marine animals. If two proofs contradict each other regarding it: a proof of prohibition and a proof of permissibility, the proof of prohibition is given precedence as a precautionary measure.
