Is a husband sinful, in Sharia, for harming his wife psychologically and physically as a result of his smoking and his hitting and insulting her, and what should the wife do in this situation?

If the wife is bothered by her husband's intimacy due to the smell of smoke, she has the right to refuse intimacy with him until he removes this smell, as stated in the fatwas of Ibn Hajar al-Haytami. It is advisable to continuously and gently advise the husband and supplicate for him, so that Allah may grant him repentance from smoking.
