What is the ruling on praying in sandals in the university mosque for someone who finds it difficult to take them off and put them on due to time constraints?

Praying with shoes is permissible and was a Sunnah practiced by the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions, as mosques at that time were not carpeted. As for today, mosques are carpeted with luxurious carpets, and entering them with shoes leads to soiling them and alienating worshippers. Therefore, it is preferable to remove shoes. However, it is permissible to pray with shoes in cases of hardship, such as for military personnel, provided their cleanliness is confirmed. It is better to remove them to avoid disagreement and problems, and the Sunnah can be performed at home or on an uncarpeted ground.
