Is the Fajr prayer valid whether one omits or performs the Qunut, and what is the most authoritative opinion regarding the Qunut in Fajr?

Qunut in the Fajr prayer is a matter of disagreement, and whoever performs it or omits it, their prayer is valid. What is most preferred, in our view, is that it is not prescribed to perform it regularly in this prayer. As for Qunut al-Nawazil (Qunut for calamities), it is not obligatory; rather, it is a Sunnah according to the most preferred view, and the actions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, indicate its Sunnah status. Acting upon what is most preferred from the statements of the scholars is obligatory for those who can examine the evidence, and whoever cannot, should follow someone whose knowledge and piety they trust.
