Should a prospective wife be informed that one's current job is temporary and non-renewable?

What we advise you to do is to inform the woman you intend to propose to about the nature of your contract with the company and your intentions regarding it. People's objectives in such matters vary, and perhaps the woman or her guardians would agree to marry you based on the stability of your employment. However, if they knew that your affiliation with it is temporary or that you desire to leave it, they might not accept. You will be rewarded for this if you intend it as advice to the woman, so that she proceeds with the marriage with full clarity. If she asks you, it is obligatory for you to be truthful with her and not to deceive her, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever carries weapons against us is not of us, and whoever deceives us is not of us."
