What is the way to overcome the habit of watching satellite channels (parabole), which recurs despite repentance and the firm resolve not to return to it?

The treatment for persistence in sin is through striving against the self, desires, and the worldly life. Guidance is linked to striving, and the most obligatory of these is striving against the self, desires, Satan, and the worldly life.

Striving against the self includes instilling fear of Allah and His punishments in this world and the hereafter, because fear is the firm barrier against desires. It also includes enduring hardships and refusing to succumb to its demands and lusts, for Paradise is surrounded by disliked things.

Part of the treatment also involves finding lawful alternatives to sin, and not feeling secure from death while persisting in sin.
