What is the meaning of the supplication of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "O Allah, make me live poor, and make me die poor, and resurrect me in the company of the poor"?

The supplication of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with the words: "O Allah, make me live poor and gather me in the company of the poor," signifies humility and a sense of need for Allah, guiding the Ummah to embrace humility and shun arrogance. This supplication does not imply material poverty, but rather submission and reverence, even though there are hadiths indicating that the poor among the Muhajireen will enter Paradise before the wealthy. However, there are other hadiths in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sought refuge from poverty and humiliation.
