Is it permissible to fortify oneself by sprinkling and washing the house with water and sidr to be protected from the evil eye, envy, and Satan?

Protecting a house from Satan is achieved by reciting Surat Al-Baqarah or its last two verses within it, as Satan flees from a house in which it is recited. There is no specific number of times for reciting Surat Al-Baqarah; the intention is to recite it frequently to expel devils. As for protecting the house from the evil eye and envy, this is done by reciting the Mu'awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas), though nothing specific has been reported regarding the protection of possessions. Some scholars permit sprinkling water over which the Qur'an has been recited in the house to expel devils, while others deny the practice of reciting over salt. There is no harm in adding Sidr (Lote tree leaves) to water over which the Qur'an has been recited for sorcery, but there is no basis for its use in protecting the house from the evil eye and envy.
