What is known today as "love" between young men and women is a gateway to evil and corruption. However, if a spontaneous inclination of the heart occurs between a man and a woman without any pursuit, there is no harm, provided it does not lead to something forbidden or prevent an obligatory act, while being cautious of excessive indulgence that could lead to infatuation. It is obligatory to avoid the causes of temptation, lower the gaze, avoid communication, and divert the heart from attachment by occupying time with beneficial deeds, abundant remembrance (dhikr), and supplication (du'a). The mixing of genders in universities is a reprehensible act that brings calamities, and whoever is compelled to be there must observe the rulings of Sharia and its etiquettes in interaction between genders.
