What is the ruling on masturbation and the consequences that follow if one returns to practicing it after repentance? Is feeling aroused when reading or hearing something that incites it necessitate ghusl (ritual bath) if a clear fluid is discharged? Is it haram to dislike one's father if his behavior is hurtful? The father's behavior is reprehensible and a deviation from the natural disposition (fitra). He should not be enabled in this, and one must be careful not to be alone with him, touch him, or appear before him adorned. However, this does not nullify his right to dutifulness, companionship with kindness, and obedience in matters that do not involve disobedience, while advising him to repent and supplicating for his guidance. The daughter's dislike for him is legitimate as long as it is for his disgraceful actions, and it will cease with his repentance. The daughter must repent from masturbation by spending time on beneficial activities, avoiding solitude, not indulging in thoughts, seeking help from Allah, and supplicating frequently.
