Is the supervisor held accountable for the strictness necessary to ensure work quality, especially given the lack of conscientiousness among most workers, or is gentleness required even if it affects the precision of the work?

Allah has prescribed excellence in everything and loves perfection in work. The one in charge is a guardian over his work, and he must apply leniency and strictness in their appropriate places. Praiseworthy firmness sometimes requires harshness, just as placing dew (gentleness) or a sword (harshness) in the wrong place is harmful. Human nature is rectified by combining encouragement and deterrence, so there is reward for the good-doer and punishment for the wrong-doer. The manager must establish justice among the workers by implementing the agreed-upon terms of the contract, and show kindness to the workers in a way that does not harm the work or violate the system.
