Is the recurrence of incidents involving the loss of livelihood and possessions every year in July for seven years, despite adherence to religious duties, considered a punishment from Allah or a trial?

It is advisable to avoid pessimism regarding days and months, as this is a form of Ṭīrah (superstitious belief in omens) which is forbidden by Islamic law. One must rely on Allah and put their trust in Him, saying: "O Allah, there is no good except Your good, and no omen except Your omen, and there is no god other than You." Sins have a significant impact on calamities and deprivation of provision. Allah the Almighty says: "And whatever calamity strikes you—it is because of what your hands have earned, and He pardons much." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a servant is deprived of provision because of a sin he commits." Tribulation can be a punishment, an expiation for sins, and a means of elevating ranks. One must repent from all sins and be patient in tribulation, knowing that supplicating with the wording: "O Allah, I do not ask You to avert the decree" is impermissible.
