The question

Are the mentioned matters concerning the son who drowned considered good tidings? Is his death on Thursday morning considered a death on Friday eve? Does the father bear sin for cursing his son's friends in his state of shock? Is there any fault in his weeping over his son? Is there any sin upon him for his harshness towards him due to the internet, despite his kindness to him? Will the son intercede for his parents? Is the father considered among "those who seek reward from Allah" for saying "inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" at the time of the calamity? Does the son know about his father's visit to his grave and his supplication for him? Is it permissible to greet him by his name? Will the charitable endowment benefit the son, and will the father be rewarded for it?

The answer

The drowned person is a martyr, and good praise for the deceased is an indication of their righteousness. There is no sin in weeping over the dead without objecting to Allah’s decree. Children will intercede for their parents on the Day of Judgment, and a martyr will intercede for seventy of his relatives, and it is hoped that the drowned person will receive the reward of a martyr. Seeking reward from Allah (Al-Ihtisab) is patience in the face of calamity, hoping for recompense. It is not prescribed to specify Friday for visiting graves; rather, it can be done at any time, and it is sunnah to greet the deceased by name. Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) for the deceased is permissible, such as donating copies of the Quran or religious books as endowments.
