What is the ruling on getting rid of tight trousers and buying modest clothes instead, and what is the ruling on burning clothes that have pictures on them instead of giving them away in charity?

The ruling on a woman wearing trousers has been previously explained: It is not permissible to wear clothes that are not modest, even if no others are available. One modest garment is sufficient. It is also not permissible to wear clothes that have images of living beings on them. However, it is permissible to benefit from them in a menial way (such as using them as cushions). Therefore, it is not permissible to burn them as long as they can be benefited from, because Allah has forbidden the squandering of wealth.
