Is the addition in the Hadith of Abu Quhafah, with the wording "وجنبوه السواد" (and keep him away from blackness), authentic?
Muslim narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Conquest [of Mecca], Abu Quhafah was brought [to the Prophet] and his head and beard were like thugham (a plant whose flowers and fruits are intensely white). So the Prophet commanded that they change that with something, and in a narration, "and avoid black." In a narration by Ahmad and others, which Al-Arna'oot and Al-Albani graded as authentic: "and keep it away from black."
