Am I obligated to divorce my wife, who has repeatedly lied to me about her past relationships, even though she is now religiously committed and shows deep remorse, especially since my dignity does not allow me to continue with her, but I fear violating Allah Almighty's command in His saying: "Do not expel them from their houses, nor should they themselves leave, unless they commit a flagrant indecency"?

What you did in luring your wife was a mistake, because what is obligatory is to conceal. And do not let her past concern you if she is religious and of good character. We advise you to keep her as long as her repentance is sincere, and she maintains her prayers, reciting the Quran, and observing hijab, for that is a sign of her good state. Do not undertake such a matter in the future, control your jealousy, and consider your wife's current state, not her past; for Islam erases what came before it, and repentance erases what came before it. She must repent to Allah for falsely swearing on the Quran and for saying: "I have disbelieved in the religion of Muhammad..." Thank Allah for the blessing of having a righteous wife who loves you and whom you love.
