The answer

The seeker of uprightness finds tranquility and the sweetness of worship after striving and enduring hardships. He must accustom himself to the fact that striving continues until death, for Allah Almighty says: "And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty" (Al-Hijr 15:99). "Certainty" here refers to death. So, worship is obligatory upon a person as long as his intellect is sound. The verse means continuous worship until death, not merely the command to worship, because worship is man's function in life, and by performing it, he prepares provisions for himself in the Hereafter. No matter how heavy the obligations may be, they are easy compared to the honor and eternal comfort Allah has promised the believers.
