Is the feeling of decreased reverence for a Surah of the Qur'an after memorizing and studying it, compared to the state before memorization, accurate, or was the previous reverence illusory, and how can the degree of reverence for the Qur'an be increased after memorizing it?

May Allah grant you success in reflecting upon the state of your heart and its being affected by the Quran. To magnify the Quran, the greatness of the Speaker (Allah) must be present in the heart, for it is not human speech. Its recitation is great and profound, and only a pure heart, illuminated by the light of magnification and reverence, can grasp its meanings. Just as the Mushaf (definition) (Quranic text) is not touched except by the purified, its meanings are not attained except by a heart pure from all defilement. The magnification of speech comes from the magnification of the Speaker, which is manifested by contemplating His attributes, majesty, actions, and greatness.

The reason you might not feel the greatness of a Surah (definition) after memorizing it could be your assumption that you will immediately perceive its wonders, whereas the remedy is to study its objectives, structures, and meanings. This deficiency in understanding is remedied by consulting specialized interpretations.

You must also supplicate that Allah makes the Quran the spring of your heart, the light of your breast, the dispeller of your sorrow, and the remover of your worries.
