Is it permissible to eat from an animal slaughtered at the entrance of a house and a car, knowing that this act is considered a form of polytheism?

Slaughtering is not required when buying a new car or house with the intention of warding off the evil eye or jinn, as there is no basis for this. In fact, slaughtering with the intention of protection from jinn is polytheism with Allah. However, slaughtering as an act of gratitude to Allah for a blessing and to draw closer to Him is permissible. It is not permissible to eat from an animal slaughtered to ward off the evil eye or for protection from jinn, because it was slaughtered for other than Allah and is considered carrion. As for an animal slaughtered in gratitude to Allah, it is permissible to eat from it.
