Is the reward for slaughtering and distributing meat for a new car similar to the reward for buying and distributing meat from the butcher?

Slaughtering an animal upon purchasing a car to ward off the evil eye or misfortunes is not legislated and is not a Sunnah. Whoever wishes to thank Allah for the blessing of the car should give charity with the meat or with money, as this is better than slaughtering. This is because it is safer and further removes one from falling into the corrupt belief that slaughtering repels the evil eye.
