What is the refutation of the misconception that the incident of the splitting of the moon was not real, but rather an act of magic or a veil from the jinn placed between people's eyes and the moon?

If a person were to go after every human conjecture and assumption, he would never reach an end, especially concerning matters of the Unseen. Whoever establishes the incident of the splitting of the moon and affirms that people saw it, while denying the influence of magic, must inevitably acknowledge that it was a miraculous event and a proof of the Prophet's truthfulness (peace be upon him), and this is the logic of a sound mind. It is not possible for one who respects reason to assume weaker possibilities such as the influence of jinn, because jinn are a tool of magic. The disbelievers of Quraysh denied magic, despite their knowledge of jinn and their capabilities, saying: "This is magic with which Ibn Abi Kabshah has bewitched us. Go out to the travelers who are coming to you, and if they tell you that they saw what you saw, then it is true; otherwise, you have been lied to, for Muhammad cannot bewitch all people." And no one came except that they reported having seen what they saw. Asserting the jinn's ability to obscure the vision of all humanity is a claim lacking proof. Even if proven, asserting the ability of any human to harness jinn for this purpose is a claim devoid of evidence. And even if proven, that would be a miracle and a proof of divine support.
