Allah has commanded the reform and cultivation of the earth and not to cause corruption therein, as stated in His Almighty saying: "And cause no corruption upon the earth after its reformation" and "He produced you from the earth and settled you in it." Historically, Muslims have maintained their environment and cleanliness, outwardly and inwardly, considering it an act of worship. This protected their societies from diseases and epidemics, unlike other peoples who did not prioritize cleanliness.
