Is it sufficient to stop supplicating against the oppressor in this life to guarantee retribution in the Hereafter, after previous supplications were made for punishment to occur sooner or later?

If the wronged person supplicates against the one who wronged them, they have taken revenge for themselves and missed the virtue of forgiveness, as stated in "Al-Tanwir 'ala Al-Jami' Al-Saghir". The wronged person has three options concerning their oppressor: seeking retribution through supplication, delaying it until the Hereafter, or forgiving. The last option is the best. Aisha's hadith indicates that the supplication of the wronged person lightens the sin of the oppressor. So, if you supplicate against the one who wronged you, you have taken revenge for yourself, and there is no blame on you, but you have missed the virtue of forgiveness. It is permissible to supplicate against the oppressor only to the extent of the injustice they inflicted.
