Is it permissible for a man to beat his wife according to Sharia, based on what was narrated from Omar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him?

The reported Hadith, "A man shall not be questioned as to why he beat his wife," was narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah, and it has been weakened by Sheikh Ahmad Shakir and Al-Albani.

Assuming its authenticity, the meaning is that a man is not to be questioned about beating his wife if there was a legitimate reason for it, such as her disobedience and rebelliousness (nushuz), provided that the Quranic progression mentioned in Surat An-Nisa (4:34) is followed: "admonish them, and abandon them in their beds, and strike them." The striking must not be brutal or harmful; one should not strike the face or break a bone.

However, if the husband exceeds limits and beats his wife without just cause, he will be held accountable for his action, and Allah Almighty warns him with His saying: "So if they obey you, do not seek a way against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted, Most Great" (4:34). Allah will indeed take revenge on whoever wrongs them.
