How can I deal with recurrent marital disputes caused by my husband’s family, which have led to divorce twice, with my husband preventing me from communicating with my brother and children, and how can I maintain ties of kinship with my family, knowing that he is short-tempered?
We advise you to be patient and forgive the harm caused by your husband's family, following the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Try to minimize interaction with them as long as mixing causes problems. We also advise your husband not to be lenient regarding divorce and to control his anger. Furthermore, he is not permitted to prevent your brother from visiting you or to prevent his children from maintaining ties with their maternal uncle, unless there is a valid reason, because doing so severs kinship ties. We advise you to remind him of Allah, the rights of kinship, and the seriousness of anger, in a gentle manner. We caution him against trying to get your brother fired from his job.
