The answer

The predecessors of the Ummah, its Imams, and the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah believe that some created things do not completely perish, such as Paradise, Hellfire, and the Throne. No one has claimed the annihilation of all created things except some theologians (Ahl al-Kalam). All factions of the Ummah have agreed that there is no annihilation for Paradise and its blessings, nor for Hellfire and its torment, with the exception of Jahm ibn Safwan, Abu al-Hudhayl al-'Allaf, and a group of the Rawafid. This is what the texts of the Book and the Sunnah indicate, such as His (Allah's) saying: "And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger – then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever," and His (Allah's) saying: "That is the recompense of the enemies of Allah – the Fire. For them therein is the home of eternity," and the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "It will be said to the people of Paradise: 'O people of Paradise, eternity without death,' and to the people of Hellfire: 'O people of Hellfire, eternity without death.'"
