What is the ruling of Islam on isolating semen to determine the gender of the offspring?

It is permissible, according to Islamic law, to determine the gender of the fetus using modern methods if there is a need for it, such as the presence of hereditary diseases linked to a specific gender, or the parents' desire to have a child of a particular gender to compensate for a shortage of that gender in their offspring. This is permissible on the condition that it is an individual effort and not a collective call, and that it does not constitute an تجاوز upon Allah's will or a claim to knowledge of the unseen. This falls under the category of taking measures, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) permitted 'azl (coitus interruptus), which completely prevents pregnancy. Therefore, the permissibility of gender determination is even more evident, and this is not considered a change in Allah's creation.
