What is the ruling on inheriting money from someone who insults religion, then seeks forgiveness and attributes the cause to Satan and to people, while becoming angry when advised, even though he prays, fasts, and seeks forgiveness? Is he considered an apostate or a Muslim thereby?

Whoever curses the religion of Islam, while being of sound mind, acting of their own free will, and being fully aware, has committed an act of disbelief (kufr) and exited the fold of Islam. Such a person must hasten to repent, pronounce the two declarations of faith (Shahadatayn), and frequently seek Allah's forgiveness. If they repent and embrace Islam, Allah will forgive them for what has passed. As for ruling that a specific individual has apostatized, this can only be done by scholars after examining what the person said or did, ensuring that all conditions are met and no impediments exist.
