Is it permissible to perform ablution (wudu') while there is a dressing on a wound or pimples to prevent water from mixing with impurities?

If an adhesive bandage is placed on a limb used for ablution, and its removal does not cause harm, then it must be removed for the ablution to be valid, because it prevents water from reaching the skin beneath it.

However, if removing the bandage or washing the skin beneath it would cause harm, then one should wipe over it. If wiping is not possible, then tayammum (dry ablution) should be performed for it. This applies to splints, bandages, and any medicine placed on wounds that prevents water from reaching the skin.

If blood emerges after washing the limb, it does not affect the ablution, as Muslims used to pray despite their wounds.
