What is the ruling regarding a wife remaining with her husband, who has not consummated the marriage with her for two years, and she fears him and suffers from his ill-treatment?

A husband's insult and mistreatment of his wife contradict what Allah has commanded regarding good companionship and benevolence. We advise patience and supplication to Allah for the husband's rectification. It is necessary to investigate and remove the causes of this coldness. If there is a suspicion that he is affected by magic or the evil eye, then ruqyah (Islamic exorcism) is the cure. If it is not possible to continue the marital life with kindness, then seeking a divorce to avert harm can be considered, but do not rush until it becomes clear that it is the most beneficial option.
