Is it permissible to supplicate to Allah, the Exalted, with "O my Lord, You are the Most Affectionate, the Bestower, be affectionate to me and be with me; immerse me in Your kindness and affection, I am in need of You. O Lord, make me sleep"?

There is no harm in supplicating with "Al-Hannan, Al-Mannan," for these are among the Beautiful Names of Allah. The name "Al-Hannan" has been mentioned in some hadiths, which Al-Albani authenticated in some instances and weakened in others. It is better to supplicate with the reported supplications, such as the supplications of the distressed: "O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not abandon me to my soul for the blink of an eye, and correct all my affairs for me. There is no god but You," or "O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, by Your mercy I seek assistance."
